The Shape of Sound: Visual Pulse Design for the KPN SoundBox

Project Overview
In 2025, KPN launched the TV+ Soundbox—an innovative all-in-one device that combines a high-end TV tuner with premium sound technology, co-developed with Bang & Olufsen and supporting Dolby Atmos. To introduce this product to the Dutch market, Dentsu Creative Amsterdam developed a campaign that highlighted its seamless integration of crystal-clear image and immersive sound.

My Role: Animation Design & Motion Exploration
I was brought in to develop the animated visual language that would express the product’s auditory power—specifically focusing on the sound pulse effect that would feature prominently in the campaign’s video assets.

The challenge: create a visual that feels like sound, intuitively and emotionally—without resorting to literal speaker icons or cliché EQ bars.
